PEARLAND, Texas - The Nebraska men’s golf team finished in 10th place at the Bayou City Collegiate Classic with an overall score of 890. The Huskers shot 291 in the first round, 299 in the second round, and 300 in the final round. The final round concluded on Tuesday at the par-72, 7,254-yard course at Golfcrest Country Club.
Lipscomb came in first place overall with a score of 849. Arkansas State took second with a score of 857. Sam Houston State and Houston tied for third with scores of 862 and UTSA rounded out the top five with 867.
Juniors Jace Guthmiller and Jackson Wendling led the Husker lineup once again, tying for 22nd overall with scores of 218.
Daniel Pearson followed up and placed tied for 56th with a score of 227. Cameron Jones (229) came in tied for 66th and Tanner Owen (233) finished tied for 77th.
Nebraska’s final outing of the fall season will be Oct. 23-24 at the Quail Valley Collegiate Invitational in Vero Beach, Fla. Action will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Quail Valley Golf Course.
