Senior Wide Receiver De'Mornay Pierson-El
On how he plans on maintaining his health
“I mean I don’t know you would justify that question, I mean I just try to stay healthy coming into the middle of the season, you just do what you’ve been doing.”

On his health
“I’m fine I feel good. Like everybody else a little sore.”

On how he feels at this point in the season
“I’m fine, like I said I’m back to feeling comfortable and how I want to feel so I’m just going week-to-week, I practice hard and it turns over in the game. So, I have a good week in practice hopefully have a good game.”

On the first touchdown
“It was an under route, caught a ball went in a hole in the defense and ran. That was just pretty much it, that was the design of the play.”

On this weekend’s game against Wisconsin
“It’s a Big Ten game so you know it means a lot.  They’re all big games, we take one at a time so I mean, you know, we just work on us, day-to-day. We do what we have been doing just to continue progressing. You know, when it comes time to play, we do us and we’ll see what happens.”

On the team as a whole
“You know, we just got to keep doing what we are supposed to do. We can’t get comfortable and happy. We still have more games to go so we’ve got to continue to be hungry and go out there every day and just earn it.”

On if the team has more confidence now
“I mean I wouldn’t really say so. I think everybody knows that they have a job to do and they’re willing to do their part and we are really seeing it pays off.”

On Wisconsin’s secondary
“They’re all aggressive, they all play, they’re all one unit. But, at the end of the day you’ve got to line up and you’ve got to show that every day that it doesn’t just come with it. So I mean it’s just their best against our best and we’ll see what happens."

On Chris Jones
“Chris has been hungry for the most part. He’s always in the training room, always trying to get better and get stronger and I mean that’s just the type of guy he is. He’s a fighter and he’s not going to let anything stop him. Anything he puts his mind to he’s going to do it to the best of his ability. And it is going to be good to have him finally cleared and see him actually get back into it."

On what goes on behind the scenes
“I feel like we have the greatest athletic training staff. They’re always right there when you need them. They adjust when problems come up and even when you’re not doing your best, they push you to be better and to get you back to the best way they can. I mean they’ve done a really good job since I have been here and prior to that it’s a really good staff down there and we love those guys because they see you at your worst and they get you back to your best. So I mean it’s really on them and how bad you really want to push yourself to get back on the field.”

On if the coaches are mental coaches as much as physical coaches
“I guess you could say that.”

On Stanley Morgan Jr.
“It is good to have him back out there I mean that’s another weapon that you have. So I mean anytime you get guys back and we can move the ball and you show how well our offence can move, I mean that’s always a plus.”

On how he makes the first guy miss
“Coach W (Williams) tells us they always make the first dude miss so I mean we work on it in practice just given that guy, that first move. If you beat him, sometimes he might be the only one that’s left so you can really take those six-yard-plays and really go the distance. So I mean that is just something that our coach just makes us do. Just keep trying to make the first guy miss and go score.”

On Wisconsin’s defense
“I mean you’ve got different personnel, different coverage, different stuff you’ve got to know, different techniques, they play different so I mean we really just have to be on us to really know their personnel to just give us the best shot to know, to anticipate what they’re kind of going to play us and just kind of know what we want to do off that for the most part.”

On if they were the most physical team last year
“I would say they were one of the more physical, I don’t want to say they were the most physical. But, any Big Ten team is physical. You’re going to get everybody’s best shot. So I mean that’s how you have to prepare.”

On the Ohio State game and the home field advantage
“I’m taking it one game at a time so we’re not on Ohio State right now we’re focused on Wisconsin.”

On playing at night
“It definitely gives you a higher atmosphere to be at home and it’s a night game. You really get the Sea of Red effect and we’ve just got to use it to our advantage.”

On why they play so well at night
“I don’t know you just… I guess you’ve got all day to think about it, to prepare for it. You really go through your cues and are well-rested so by the time it comes, you’re ready to go.”

On if he’s ever felt like an underdog
“I need to get out there and play, man. I’m not tripping about that, I go out there and do my best and that’s all I’m worried about.”
