Madison, Wis. - The Nebraska men’s golf team finished in 14th place after the final round at the Badger Invitational on Tuesday. The Huskers shot for a total of 897 over the three-day event at the par-72, 7,259-yard University Ridge Golf Course.
Texas A&M took 1st place in the tournament with a score of 839, followed by Kansas (845) in 2nd, Marquette (847) in 3rd, Notre Dame (850) in 4th, and Wisconsin (860) in 5th.
Juniors Jackson Wendling and Jace Guthmiller tied for 1st among the Huskers with scores of 224, finishing tied for 54th overall.
Freshman Daniel Pearson placed 3rd among the Huskers in his first career event. He shot for a score of 227 and tied for 70th overall.
Sophomore Cameron Jones placed in a tie for 75th overall with a score of 229. Following him was freshman Patrick Clare, who landed in the 91st spot with a score of 236.
Nebraska will be back in action at the Maui Jim Intercollegiate in Carefree, Ariz. on Friday, Sept. 22.
