Madison, Wis. - The Nebraska men’s golf team is currently tied for 14th after shooting 302 in the first round of the Badger Invitational at the University Ridge Golf Course. Action at the par-72, 7,259-yard course will continue tomorrow with the second of three rounds.
Texas A&M leads the tournament with a team score of 276, followed by Nevada and Wisconsin tied for second at 285. Kansas (288) and Marquette (289) round out the top five.
Jackson Wendling leads the Huskers going into the second round of the Badger Invitational. Wendling is tied for 43rd after firing a 74 in the first round.
Daniel Pearson is tied for 54th after firing a 75 in the first round. Right behind him with a score of 76 is Cameron Jones. The sophomore sits in a tie for 62nd place going into the second round.
Jace Guthmiller is tied for 71st after shooting a 77 in the first round. Patrick Clare shot an 82 in the first round and is tied for 95th.
Nebraska will begin the second round on the No. 1 tee in Monday’s second round, with the Huskers’ tee times from 9:40 to 10:12 a.m. CT.
