Baltimore, MD - The Nebraska men's golf team sits in a tie for 13th after shooting 292 in the second round of the Big Ten Championships at the Baltimore Country Club. The Huskers shaved eight strokes off of yesterday's team score of 300. NU sits at a score of 592 after 36-holes. Action at the par-70, 7,181 yard course will continue tomorrow with the third and final round.
Illinois continues to lead the tournament with a team score of 548, with Purdue and Northwestern tied for second at 568. Wisconsin (572) and Ohio State (575) round out the top five.
Justin Jennings led the Huskers again on the second day of the Big Ten Championships. Jennings is tied for 13th after firing two pairs of 71 in the first two rounds. The senior sits at a total score of 142.
Michael Colgate carded a 73 in the second round. The senior sits in 40th place with a cumulative score of 148.
Jace Guthmiller and Tanner Owen sit in a tie for 55th place. Guthmiller posted a score of 75 in the second round, while Owen carded a 73. Both are sitting with scores of 151 after 36-holes.
Jackson Wendling sits in 70th place after shooting 81 in the second round of the tournament. The sophomore has a cumulative score of 164 after two days.
Nebraska will again go off the No. 10 tee in Saturday's second round, with the Huskers' tee times from 9:25 to 10:01 a.m. ET.
