Huskers Begin Action at John Jacobs Invitational

Norman, Okla. — The Nebraska track and field team completed day one at the John Jacobs Invitational at the John Jacobs Track and Field Complex on Friday night.

Nick Percy placed first in the hammer throw with a mark of 215-11 (65.81m). Jackson Ingram was sixth with a distance of 169-7 (51.70m).

Kristina Insingo placed ninth in the women's hammer throw at 146-10 (44.75m), followed by Toni Tupper in 10th place at 144-2 (43.94m).

Bonnie Smith placed 13th in the 1,500m and set a personal record with a time of 4:48.29. Judi Jones placed 14th with a time of 4:48.64, followed by Nicole Colonna who also set a personal record at 4:49.53. Jacob Olson ran 3:57.04 in the men's race to finish ninth.
