Nebraska Defeated by Penn State

Lincoln, Neb.-- Nebraska played Penn State and fell 5-2. The Huskers have a 4-12 record this season. The Nittany Lions was NU's fourth Big Ten opponent.

In doubles, Toby Boyer and Jon Meyer were back in action against Nika Dolidze and Chrisian Lutschauni in the No. 3 spot but fell 6-3. David Samardzija and Micah Klousia also were defeated by the Nittany Lions, 6-3. In the No. 1 spot, a new duo, Chris Dean and Dylan Bednarczyk took the lone victory in doubles play for the Huskers, ending ahead 5-4. 

For singles, Chris Dean played in the No. 5 spot against Ben Lieb but was defeated 6-1, 6-2. Tomislav Antoljak played against Christos Antonopoulo but fell 6-4, 6-3. Finishing third, and for the winning point, David Samardzija was unfortunately defeated by Penn State. Micah Klousia was also defeated by Marc Collado after putting up a fight 6-4, 7-5. As the highlight, Toby Boyer defeated Constant De La Basse in a tough three matches, 2-6, 6-2, 6-2. Dylan Bednarczyk also beat his competitor 6-3, 1-6, 6-3, gaining the second point for NU.

The Huskers are back in action Sunday April 2, at 12 p.m. against Ohio State.
