West Lafayette, Ind.- On the third day of the Big Ten Championships, multiple Huskers set career bests and school records as senior Anna Filipcic earned a second place finish in the three-meter dive and team captain Erin Oeltjen set a school record in the 100 yard backstroke.
Filipcic scored a 387.35 in the three meter dive, breaking her own school record previously set in Kansas this season. Landing her in second place, this was her second top-four finish of the meet. Freshman Abigail Knapton followed with a 323.60.
Omaha native Oeltjen also set a new school record in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 53.23 in the prelims. Cassandra Brassard followed with a 54.43, a personal best for the Canada native.
In the 200-yard freestyle, sophomore Kaylyn Flatt found success with a time of 1:48.69.
The Huskers once again found success in a relay in the 200-yard freestyle relay, finishing with a time of 1:32.48 which gave them 10th place in the finals.
The Huskers will continue competition into Saturday Feb. 18th.
