Filipcic Takes Third; McDonald Sets Career Best

West Lafayette, Ind.- On the second day of the Big Ten Championships, Omaha native Anna Filipcic earned a third place win in the one-meter dive and sophomore Anna McDonald set a personal best in the 200-yard individual medley.

Senior Anna Filipcic took third place in the one-meter dive on Thursday with score of 294.90, an A-Cut score. Freshman standout Abigail Knapton earned a score of 278.45, which qualifies as a B-cut.

In the 400-yard medley, the Huskers found a 10th place win with Erin Oeltjen, Tori Beeler, Dana Posthuma, and Allie Worrall in the pool (3:40.07).

McDonald finished with a time of 2:00.36, which qualified as a B-cut. This was also a career best for McDonald.

The Huskers will continue competition through Feb. 18.
