Huskers Climb the Ranks in the Kiawah Classic

Kiawah Island, S.C. - The Huskers climbed in the rankings at the Kiawah Classic Monday, and are now tied for 12th. The team shot a score of 297, putting them at 599 strokes after 36 holes.

Augusta is sitting in 1st place, after posting a score of 284 on Monday. The team sits at 572 strokes after the second round of the Kiawah Classic. 

Sophomore Jace Guthmiller lead the team Monday in scoring, firing a 71. Guthmiller sits in a tie for 24th with 147 strokes after the first two rounds of play. 

Michael Colgate and Jackson Wendling posted pairs of 74 in the second round of the Kiawah Classic. Colgate is tied for 37th, while Wendling is tied for 53rd.

Freshman Cameron Jones is sitting at 153 strokes after shooting a 79 on Monday. Jones is tied for 64th.

Senior Justin Jennings is tied for 88th after carding a 78 in the second round of the tournament. Jennings sits at 157 strokes after 36 holes. 

Final round will take place 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 01., with a shotgun start.
