Tennessee's Daimion Stafford had one of the best performances by a Husker in the NFL over the weekend in helping the Titans defeat the Miami Dolphins, 30-17. Stafford had one interception, which he returned for four yards. He added three unassisted tackles.
Several other defenders produced noteworthy showings during Week 5 of the NFL season, including Washington's Will Compton, who registered nine tackles, eight of which were solo stops. Denver's Jared Crick and Tampa Bay's Lavonte David each earned five tackles.
Five former Husker offensive linemen earned starts over the weekend. Baltimore's Alex Lewis started at left tackle, Washington's Spencer Long started at center, the New York Jets' Brent Qvale started at right guard, Minnesota's Jeremiah Sirles started at right tackle and San Diego's Matt Slauson started at center.
New York Jets wide receiver Quincy Enunwa caught four passes for 51 yards, with a long reception of 18 yards.
On special teams, New York Giant Josh Brown made all three of his field goal attempts and his lone extra-point try. Baltimore's Sam Koch punted eight times with an average of 47.6 yards per attempt.
