Valentine, Neb. - The Huskers will be heading to Valentine, Neb., to compete in The Jackrabbit.
The tournament will be hosted by the Prairie Club (ranked second-best course in Nebraska by Golf Digest and No. 78 on Golf Magazine’s top 100 public courses in the country). The Huskers will play 54 holes on the 7,785-yard, par-72 Dunes course.
The team is going into the tournament with two top-10 finishes under its belt. The Huskers placed eighth in their last tournament, shooting a team score of 870 in the Ram Masters Invitational.
Senior Michael Colgate, who led the team the last two tournaments with a pair of top-10 finishes, will represent the No. 1 spot.
Jace Guthmiller will play in the No. 2 spot for the Jackrabbit. The sophomore tied for 41st in the Ram Masters Invitational.
Sophomore Sean Song, who tied for 28th in the last Invitational, will be playing in the No. 3 spot.
Justin Jennings will represent the No. 4 spot for the Huskers. The senior tied for 64th in the team's season opener.
Jackson Wendling will play in the No. 5 spot. The Jackrabbit will be the sophomore's first tournament of the season.
Freshman Cameron Jones will also be playing in the tournament as an individual.
