Shawn Eichorst's Husker Athletics Radio Show Wednesday night will focus on soccer and an Olympic gymnast who will be inducted into the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame in nine days. Husker Sports Network studio host Greg Sharpe will interview Eichorst in the first segment that begins at 7 p.m. (CT) with an overall view of Husker Athletics.

Phil Cahoy Jr., who helped lead Nebraska to four consecutive NCAA national men’s gymnastics championships, will be the radio guest for the second segment. A member of USA's 1980 men's Olympic gymnastics team, Cahoy will be one of seven Husker student-athletes inducted into the Nebraska Athletics Hall of Fame the night before the Huskers host Oregon in football.

Segments 3 and 4 focus on Nebraska's 5-1 start to the soccer season. Sharpe will interview John Walker in segment 3 and senior captain Jaycie Johnson in segment 4. In 22 seasons, Walker's teams have 11 NCAA Tournament appearances, two trips to the Elite Eight, six trips to the Sweet 16 and 10 conference championships, including two in the Big Ten.

A member of the 2015 U.S. Under-23 Women’s National Team, Johnson was a pivotal part of Nebraska’s two Big Ten championships and has the distinction of being one of five players in NCAA Tournament history to score four goals in one match.
