Junior Hannah Whitish earned second-team All-Big Ten honors as a sophomore and was a preseason All-Big Ten choice heading into 2018-19.
Whitish came to Nebraska after earning Miss Basketball honors in the state of Wisconsin in 2015-16. The four-time all-state selection was named the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year after leading Barneveld High School to four consecutive appearances in the state title game, including a pair of state championships.
As a high senior, the 5-9 guard averaged 24.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 4.5 steals per game, while hitting 48 percent of her three-pointers for the Golden Eagles. She finished among the top 10 scorers in Wisconsin high school history with well over 2,000 points.
Hannah took a few minutes out of her schedule to answer some questions to provide a little bit more insight about her life off the court.
