Huskers Edged by Sooners, 2-1

Kansas City, Mo. – The Nebraska soccer team fell to Oklahoma, 2-1, at St. Teresa’s Academy on Saturday afternoon.

Caroline Flynn scored NU’s lone goal off an assist from Haley Hanson. The two teams went into halftime tied 1-1, but the Sooners scored the game winner in the second half.

With the loss, the Huskers fall to 1-2-1 this spring. After a 4-1 win over South Dakota State on Feb. 28, NU tied Missouri on the road on March 12. On April 3, NU fell to FC Kansas City by a 4-0 margin.

The Huskers finish their spring campaign on Saturday, April 23 against Colorado at Hibner Stadium at 7 p.m. Prior to the game, fans will have an opportunity to hand-select their season seats at Hibner Stadium as part of the “Seat Yourself Live” event, starting at 5:30 p.m.
