Lincoln - Michael Jacobson, Andrew White III and Tai Webster all broke school marks as the Husker basketball program began their offseason program with physical testing at the Nebraska Athletics Performance Lab (NAPL) earlier this week.
Jacobson posted the team’s highest Performance Index score with 1,542 points, as the system combines results from the vertical jump, 10-yard dash, and pro-agility runs, as well as the size of the athlete taking the tests. Jacobson posted top-three point totals in all three events, including a team-high 556 points in the vertical jump with a team-best jump of 33 inches.
Webster set program records in two events, posting times of 1.64 seconds in the 10-yard dash and 4.10 seconds in the pro-agility drill, as he also recorded top-three marks in all three events. In both the 10-yard dash and pro-agility drill, two players posted times which would have beat the previous mark (10-yard dash, Andrew White III, 1.67 seconds; pro-agility run, Anton Gill, 4.13 seconds). White’s point total of 511 was the highest on the team, as he also finished among the top-three scorers in all three events.
Three Huskers, Jacobson, Webster and Bakari Evelyn, all bested their previous high by at least 100 points from preseason testing during the fall.
