Champaign, Ill. - The threat of inclement weather on Sunday has forced a change in the weekend schedule for the 24th-ranked Nebraska softball team. The Huskers will play Illinois tonight as scheduled, but the teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday at Eichelberger Field and will not play on Sunday.
Nebraska and Illinois open Big Ten Conference play with a single game tonight at 6 p.m. The teams will then conclude their series with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. on Saturday. The decision to play two games on Saturday was made after rain was in the forecast for much of Sunday.
With the schedule change, the Huskers and Fighting Illini will now play all three games of their Big Ten series in a span of 24 hours. A free radio broadcast of every game is available on Huskers.com, while a free single-camera video stream is available on FightingIllini.com.
