The Huskers picked up wins over North Carolina A&T, St. Francis (Pa.), Sacred Heart, Bethune-Cookman, Louisiana Tech and Tulane during Friday's action.
LIU-Brooklyn sits in first place after Friday's action with an average of 196.6. McKendree (193.6) is third, while Sam Houston State (190.2) and Stephen F. Austin (189.1) round out the top five.
The Huskers will return to action Saturday for six traditional matches with play set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday and Saturday’s combined results will determine the seeding for Sunday’s bracket-play tournament to determine a champion. Sunday’s action is set to begin at 8:30 a.m.
