McKinney Joins Husker Soccer Program

Lincoln, Neb. – The Nebraska soccer team announced the addition of Hannah McKinney to the roster on Tuesday.

McKinney, a 5-5 forward from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., played high school soccer at Los Osos. She helped guide the team to three consecutive Claremont Tournament titles from 2013 to 2015.

“I chose Nebraska because of their amazing soccer program and I feel it is a perfect fit for my academic and career goals,” McKinney said. “I’m interested in UNL’s incredible engineering program and I believe Nebraska has a lot to offer. I chose UNL because I also liked the approach the soccer program takes to improve technical skills and further development.”

McKinney was named Best Offensive Player of the Year in California in 2014 and 2015. She also received the Coaches Award, which is given to someone who demonstrates great responsibility, leadership, performance, and respect for their fellow athletes and coaches, in 2013. In addition, McKinney played club soccer for TFA Barcelona.
