The Nebraska beach volleyball team will spend the next nine days on the road playing matches in Hawaii and California as its fourth season as a program rolls on. The Huskers have nine matches and one tournament scheduled, and they will see five teams ranked in the DiG Magazine Top 20 Poll, including No. 1 Pepperdine, No. 2 USC, No. 5 Hawaii and No. 7 Long Beach State.
The 15th-ranked Huskers, who are 1-0 after sweeping Missouri Baptist in the first home match in school history on March 9, will resume the season on Thursday, March 17 at Queen's Beach in Honolulu. Nebraska will play matches against Hawaii Pacific, Chaminade and USC throughout the day.
On Friday and Saturday, Nebraska will compete in the Hawaii Invite, featuring both a pairs and team tournament against No. 20 Loyola Marymount, the Rainbow Wahine and the Trojans at Queen's Beach. Both days begin at Noon (CT).
On Sunday, the Huskers will play a single match against Hawaii at the Ching Complex at 7 p.m. (CT).
The Huskers will then travel to Huntington Beach, Calif., where they will face Irvine Valley College (2 p.m. CT) and Concordia (4 p.m. CT) on Wednesday, March 23. The following day, Nebraska will play Long Beach State in Long Beach at 3 p.m. (CT). The trip concludes with a doubleheader on Friday, March 25 against Cal Poly (1:15 p.m. CT) and top-ranked Pepperdine (2:30 p.m. CT) in Malibu.
