Filipcic Leads Huskers on Day Two at Zone Meet

College Station, Texas- Anna Filipcic claimed a ninth-place finish in the three-meter dive, as the Huskers finished day two of competition at the 2016 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships in College Station, Texas.

Filipcic finished in ninth-place after posting a combined rounds score of 629.90. In the preliminary round she tallied the seventh-highest score with a score of 309.65. Filipcic secured a spot at the 2016 NCAA Championships yesterday with her fifth-place finish in the one-meter dive. Filipcic’s finish today was also high enough to qualify her for the Championships.

Nicole Schwery, Katrina Voge and Francesca Giganti also competed for the Huskers Tuesday morning. Schwery led the way posting a score of 275.45, securing a 19th-place finish, and just missing out on a spot to compete in Tuesday afternoon’s finals. Voge finished just behind Schwery in 21st-place with a score of 274.70. Giganti finished in 30th-place with a score of 259.60.
