Divers Travel to Texas for Zone Meet

The Nebraska divers travel to College Station, Texas, on Monday, Mar. 7, for the 2016 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships. Texas A&M is expecting to host some of the best divers from across the midwest to take part in the three-day event that will qualify nine women in the three-meter, six in the one-meter and nine in the platform for the NCAA Championships, held March 16-19 in Atlanta, Ga.

Anna Filipcic, Francesca Giganti, Nicole Schwery and Katrina Voge will all compete at the event.  Filipcic will compete in both the one- and three-meter events.  Giganti will compete in the three-meter and platform dive.  Schwery will compete in the one-meter, three-meter and platform dives. Voge will also be competing in the one-meter, three-meter and platform dives.

The Zone D Diving Meet begins at 11 a.m. on Monday with the women's one-meter diving competition. Tuesday will see the Huskers compete in the three-meter dive, also beginning at 11 a.m. The meet will conclude on Wednesday with the final event, the women's platform dive, once again starting at 11 a.m. Check back in to Huskers.com for updates.
