The Nebraska softball team will have 15 games broadcast on the Big Ten Network or BTN Plus, beginning with all three games of the Huskers’ home-opening series with Wichita State this weekend.
Nebraska is scheduled to appear on the Big Ten Network a minimum of three times this season. The Huskers will first appear on BTN on Friday, April 8, when No. 23 Nebraska takes on No. 2 Michigan. Game time for that contest has been moved to 7:30 p.m. BTN will also televise the series finale between the Huskers and Wolverines on Sunday, April 10 at Noon. Nebraska’s series finale at No. 20 Minnesota on Sunday, April 24 will also air live on BTN at 1 p.m.
The Huskers could make additional appearances on the Big Ten Network. BTN will select two wild-card games to air on May 7 and 8, while every game of the Big Ten Tournament (May 12-14) will be carried on the Big Ten Network.
In addition to its appearances on the Big Ten Network, Nebraska will also appear 12 times on BTN Plus. BTN Plus programming features live games produced by students at Big Ten universities. To access BTN Plus programming, fans must purchase a BTN Plus subscription ($14.95/month for a conference-wide subscription or $9.95/month for a single school subscription). All three games between Nebraska and Wichita State this weekend will air on BTN Plus, as will the Huskers’ next home game with Omaha on Wednesday, March 16.
Two of Nebraska’s three games with Maryland will air on BTN Plus, while both games of the Huskers’ home doubleheader with Iowa on April 6 will be available on BTN Plus. Fans can watch the first two games of Nebraska’s series at No. 20 Minnesota on BTN Plus before tuning into the Big Ten Network for Sunday’s finale. The Huskers’ final appearance on BTN Plus will be on Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30 against Purdue at Bowlin Stadium. The April 30 matchup will be televised for free in the state of Nebraska on NET, with the NET broadcast being available nationally to subscribers of BTN Plus.
