After receiving votes each of the first three weeks of the season, the Nebraska softball team moved into the national rankings on Tuesday, coming in at the No. 23 spot in the NFCA top-25 poll.
The Huskers appeared in the rankings after going 2-2 at the Mary Nutter Collegiate Classic last weekend. Nebraska (10-3) played three top-10 teams at the tournament, defeating seventh-ranked Oregon and losing a seventh-inning lead in a nine-inning loss to No. 9 Washington.
By moving into this week's rankings, Nebraska has now been ranked for at least one week in the NFCA poll in 19 of the 22 seasons the poll has existed, including six straight years.
Nebraska has played three of the top-10 teams in this week's rankings, and the Huskers are scheduled to play five more games this season against top-10 oponents.
