Collura Wraps Up Weekend at Last Chance Meet

Athens, Ga.- Taryn Collura completed her weekend of competition at the University of Georgia’s Last Chance Meet Sunday afternoon. Collura competed in the 100-yard freestyle on Sunday.

Collura notched another NCAA B Cut after posting a career-best time of 48.87 in the 100-yard freestyle. Collura’s performance was the fastest time in Sunday’s preliminary round.

Collura also competed yesterday in both the 50-yard freestyle and the 200-yard freestyle. In the 50-yard freestyle Collura tied for first-place swimming an NCAA B Cut time of 22.65. Collura also had the fastest time in the preliminary round racing to a time of 22.53. While swimming the 200-yard freestyle, Collura finished in 13th-place with a time of 2:20.90 in the finals and a time of 2:17.63 in the prelims.

The Nebraska swimming and diving team will be back in action as the team’s divers travel to College Station, Texas to compete at the NCAA Zone Diving Meet, March 7-9. Check back into Huskers.com for any and all updates regarding the Nebraska swimming and diving team.
