Collura Finishes Day One at Last Chance Meet

Athens, Ga.- Taryn Collura wrapped up day one of competition at the University of Georgia’s Last Chance Meet. Collura competed in both the 50-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle Saturday afternoon.

In the 50-yard freestyle, Collura finished in a tie for first-place after racing to a time of 22.65. Collura also posted the fastest time in the preliminary round finishing in a time of 22.53.

In the 200-yard freestyle, Collura posted a 13th-place finish with a time of 2:20.90. In the morning’s preliminary round Collura posted a time of 2:17.63.

Collura will be back in action tomorrow competing in the 100-yard freestyle. Prelims kick off at 9 a.m., while finals will follow at 3 p.m. Check back into Huskers.com for any and all updates regarding the Nebraska swimming and diving team.
