The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team competes in its last two matches of the regular season this weekend. The Huskers travel to Annapolis, Md., to compete against No. 15 Ole Miss on Feb. 13 and No. 14 Navy on Feb. 14. Both matches are set to begin at 7 a.m.
The Huskers had an extra week to prepare for the double-header this weekend, last competing on Jan. 31. The Huskers narrowly defeated Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, by a score 4,674-4,672, thanks to sharp shooting by Rachel Martin, Denise Martin, Jaycee Carter and Nina Radulovic.
Nebraska has a history of dominance over both teams. NU faced Ole Miss earlier this season on Jan. 16. The Huskers came out on top, finishing with a team score of 4,672. Overall, the Huskers hold a 24-4 record of the Rebels. Against the Midshipmen, Nebraska has a 12-3 record, dating back to 2000. The last time the teams met in the regular season was in 2013. The Huskers defeated Navy by a score of 4,631 – 4.590. The Huskers hope to continue the trend this weekend in Annapolis, Md.
