Lincoln - Nebraska has announced its women's basketball tip-off time for its final regular-season home game. The Huskers will face Northwestern on Senior Day, Sunday, Feb. 28, at Pinnacle Bank Arena at 3 p.m. (CT).
Nebraska, which is 16-7 overall and 7-5 in the Big Ten, will cap its regular season with what is expected to be an important game with postseason implications against the Wildcats. The Huskers also will be looking to avenge an early season conference loss to the then-No. 14 Wildcats in Evanston on Jan. 3.
Single-game tickets for Nebraska's final regular-season Big Ten game of the year can be purchased now at Huskers.com.
The start time for the Nebraska-Northwestern game had been listed previously on all Husker schedules as "TBA" while the teams waited for the Big Ten Network to choose its final wildcard selections of the season. The game with the Wildcats was chosen to be televised by BTN, and will be Nebraska's eighth regular-season conference appearance on the network. All of Nebraska's games in the Big Ten Tournament (March 2-6) in Indianapolis also will be televised by BTN.
Nebraska's game with Northwestern will cap an important season-ending home stretch for the Huskers that includes four games at Pinnacle Bank Arena in the Big Red's last five contests.
After Nebraska's Thursday night game at Minnesota (Feb. 11), the Huskers begin their postseason push at home by taking on Michigan State on Sunday, Feb. 14 at 3 p.m. Nebraska's annual Pink Game promoting cancer awareness will feature the Huskers and the No. 17 Spartans.
Following a Thursday night road trip to No. 7 Ohio State on Feb. 18, the Huskers return to Pinnacle Bank Arena on Sunday, Feb. 21 to take on Purdue. The Big Red stay at home on Wednesday, Feb. 24, hoping to avenge a loss to Indiana. Tip time for the Hoosiers is set for 7 p.m.
Nebraska concludes its home season with the Sunday, Feb. 28, 3 p.m. tip against Northwestern.
