Huskers Host UMKC Sunday at Dillon Tennis Center

Lincoln - The Nebraska men's tennis team wraps up a season-opening five-match homestand on Sunday, when the Huskers host the UMKC Kangaroos at 3 p.m. at the Sid and Dillon Hazel Tennis Center. Admission into the match is free.

The Huskers are 2-2 on the season. Nebraska opened the year with a pair of dominant victories over Omaha and North Dakota. The Huskers stepped up in competition last weekend, facing a pair of ranked foes. Nebraska fought hard and took several matches down to the wire, but the Huskers fell to No. 52 Denver (5-2) and No. 46 Oregon (6-1).

Nebraska looks to rebound on Sunday against a UMKC team that is 2-0 this season, heading into a match at Omaha on Saturday. The Kangaroos have swept both of their opponents this season, winning 7-0 against Baker and William Jewell.

Toby Boyer and Tomislav Antoljak have gotten off to impressive starts this season, as all three own a 3-1 record. Toby Boyer has also teamed up with his brother Dusty to go 1-0 at the No. 1 doubles spot. The Boyer brothers missed out on two more wins last weekend. The duo led both of its matches against Denver and Oregon last weekend, but neither match was completed after the doubles point had already been decided.

Fans unable to make it out to the Dillon Tennis Complex for Sunday's free match can follow all of the action online, as Huskers.com will have free live scoring of the dual.

Following Sunday's match, Nebraska will hit the road for the first time to compete at Wichita State on Friday, Feb. 12. The Huskers will stay in Wichita to face New Mexico on Saturday, Feb. 13.
