No. 8 Huskers Head to Columbus for Top-10 Matchup

The No. 8 Nebraska rifle team faces seventh-ranked Ohio State on Jan. 31 in Columbus, Ohio.

The Huskers are 5-6 this season, most recently losing to No. 2 Murray State in Murray, Ky., on Jan. 23 by a score of 4,691-4,677. Despite the loss, the Huskers had some impressive performances, including two personal-best scores in smallbore. Denise Martin and Rachel Martin each fired 589 to break their previous career-best scores.

In air rifle, R. Martin fired a score of 594, leading the team. Fellow junior Jaycee Carter pitched in with a 591. D. Martin, Jordan Miller and Radulovic all added scores of 588.

The Huskers are 9-2 against the Buckeyes, dating back to 2000. With only three matches left in the regular season, NU looks to continue the trend on Sunday in hopes of staying eligible for postseason.
