Huskers Welcome 2016, Jackrabbits

Lincoln, Neb. - The Nebraska women’s tennis team welcomes South Dakota State to the Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center on Friday, Jan. 22. The 2016 season opener marks the first event for the Huskers in their beautiful new home, and admission into Friday's match is free.

The battle between the Huskers and Jackrabbits will begin at 5 p.m. with singles action on the six indoor courts of the new facility, followed by doubles play to round out the evening.

Friday will mark just the second time the Big Red has gone head-to-head with South Dakota State, as the Huskers will look to improve to 2-0 all-time against the Jackrabbits. Friday's dual marks the first of 19 home matches for the Huskers at the Dillon Tennis Center this spring, including six Big Ten battles.

With a new world-class home and a balanced roster, the Huskers will have solid leadership, valuable experience and fresh energy on the court for the kickoff to their 2016 campaign. Visit Huskers.com for live stats and results following the match.
