Ameer Abdullah saw his rookie season come to a close on Sunday, but he ended the year as the league's top kick returner with 1,077 yards on 37 attempts, an average of 29.1 yards per return. The 29.1 yards per return set a new Lions' franchise record, bettering Mel Gray's 1994 total of 28.36 yards per return.
Lavonte David and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers missed the playoffs, but David continued to show why he's one of the top linebackers in the NFL. David finished the year with 147 tackles, third-best in the NFL, trailing NaVorro Bowman (154) and D'Qwell Jackson (150). The 147 tackles are a career high for David, topping his 145 for each of the past two seasons.
