White, Williams Win UNK Loper Open Crowns

Kearney, Neb. – Derek White (197) and Kris Williams (125 – unattached) each won individual titles in the UNK Loper Open at Buffalo County Expo Center on Saturday, Dec. 12.

Six additional Huskers placed in the tournament, including Justin Arthur, who took runner-up honors at 149 pounds. Jordan Shearer (149 – unattached) and Jay Sornson (157 – unattached) each took third, while Aris Shino (141), Eric Engler (174) and David Jensen (HWT – unattached) each finished fourth.

White tallied two technical falls and two decisions on his way to the 197-pound crown. Williams had one technical fall, one pin and one decision in the tournament.
