Huskers Pump Up Promos for Home Stand

The Nebraska women's basketball team opens a three-game home stand by taking on North Carolina State in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Thursday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena.

Tip-off between the 4-1 Huskers and the 6-1 Wolfpack, who are both receiving votes in this week's Associated Press Poll, is set for 7 p.m. with doors opening at 5:30.

Husker fans are encouraged to arrive early for the first of several exciting promotions this season. 

Thursday night's game will feature a "You Betcha/Go Big Red" three-point roller banner giveaway to the first 4,000 fans inside Pinnacle Bank Arena. The game also will include halftime entertainment from the ZOOperstars!

The promotions continue for Nebraska's in-state showdown with Creighton on Sunday at 2 p.m. The annual game with the Bluejays will include a red T-shirt giveaway to the first 7,000 fans in the lower bowl of the arena.

Sunday's game with the Jays also will be Military Appreciation Day with current and former military members and veterans receiving free admission with ID at the Pinnacle Bank Arena Box Office the day of the game (ticket office opens at 12:30 p.m.).

Nebraska's game with the Jays also features Marines Toys for Tots collection at the arena, and fans are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped toy or a monetary donation to the arena to benefit area children.
