On where Saturday’s celebration ranked
“Number one definitely. Definitely number one. I don’t think anything will ever top that. Like I was telling the guys before, I have never seen the stadium like that before. I’ve been here for five years and we stayed out there for what, 20 minutes just jumping up and down celebrating. That was awesome. The locker room was crazy. I don’t think it can get much better than that.”
On how this win changes the season
“Confidence. Definitely confidence. You could see it in everybody’s face today walking around the stadium, after the game, yesterday. Just knowing we have two games left and knowing that we can make something out of this season. Everybody’s confident in our abilities and what we can do going forward.”
On the possibility of making it to a bowl game
“That’s all we’re looking forward to right now. It’ll do us no good looking in the past. We’re all moving forward and focusing on these next two games. Finish off the season 6-6 and hopefully make a good bowl game and finish off the season right.”
On Nebraska's athletic medicine staff
“Those guys are awesome. They give you all the resources needed to get back. They’ll work with you. Even the strength guys in the weight room, they’ll make modifications for your lift so you can still get stronger at the same time and make sure you don’t lose too much strength. Everybody’s good working together. I was out probably six weeks and I was still working hard and I feel pretty fresh.”
On moving forward
“I would just say stay focused. Definitely don’t think about the past but then again don’t forget it. Don’t forget how bad we felt those games. Don’t forget how bad we felt last week with Purdue, how bad we felt in the past. At the same time, don’t dwell on it because we don’t have time. Quite frankly, we have two games left. All we can do now is just push forward and put our best foot forward.”
On how good it felt to have a game like Saturday’s
“It felt good. It was a quality team win. On behalf of all the players and coaches, I wish that for everybody. You could see it in everybody’s faces when we did our 10 hip-hip hoorays. It was a great atmosphere and great environment. You could just feel it in the air. It was something that you could just feel. It was just awesome. I can’t really explain it but I guess you just had to be there.”
On "Let Me Clear My Throat"
“I think we could definitely get that going. I noticed that Wisconsin game when they first did it. That was awesome. I think we should definitely keep doing that. Whoever’s in charge of that, definitely keep that going.”
