Nebraska’s Jaylyn Odermann earned second-team All-Big Ten accolades, announced by the conference on Friday.
Odermann started all 17 games for the Huskers this season and played a key role for the defense, while also scoring a team-high 12 points for the offense. The senior defender from Gretna, Neb., scored four goals and added four assists during the 2015 campaign.
Odermann was named to CollegeSoccer360.com’s Primetime Performers Honor Roll (Division I) on Aug. 27 after a stellar season debut which included two goals and one assist. In 2012, she earned a spot on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team. In addition, Odermann is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.
Sophomore Alli Peterson won the Sportsmanship Award for Nebraska. The Iowa City, Iowa native scored her first career goal in the regular-season finale against Maryland on Wednesday night. It proved to be the game winner in a 1-0 decision.
