Here’s an inside tip for 90,000 fans who will extend Nebraska’s nation-leading 53-year consecutive sellout crowd streak at Memorial Stadium: Get to your seats early, so you can see a video and watch Nebraska’s 1995 football team relive their national championship tunnel walk. The video will roll with nine minutes left on the pre-game clock.

The goose bumps will begin when the ’95 team is introduced as the best team in college football history. Those fabled Huskers will then form a double line on Tom Osborne Field to greet Nebraska’s 2015 team, which hosts Northwestern in a Big Ten Conference game. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. ESPN2 will carry the national telecast.

In addition, the 1995 offensive starters will be introduced in a second-quarter break and the ’95 defensive starters will receive a live introduction in a third-quarter break. Coaches and captains of the ’95 team will be honored at halftime.

Following Nebraska and Northwestern halftime band performances, members from six Husker championship programs will be recognized in the Weekend of Champions celebration. They include Nebraska’s 1995 national championship football and volleyball teams, plus the Huskers’ 2005 NCAA championship bowling team.

The other three programs that will be recognized Saturday are Nebraska’s 2005 NCAA runner-up volleyball team, the Huskers’ 2005 College World Series baseball team (the first in Husker history to win a CWS game) and NU’s NCAA Super Six women’s gymnastics team.
