Pre-Minnesota
Alonzo Moore
Junior, Wide Receiver
On challenges of Minnesota’s defense
“It’s going to be a challenge. We just have to prepare well, Monday through Friday, be prepared and ready to play.”
On importance of veterans leading the younger guys
“It’s very important because we need everybody we need that can help us. We need everyone. From walk-ons to guys that are redshirts, we need everyone.”
On guys keeping their spirits up
“Yeah, everybody. We know that things happen. We have to stay together through tough times like this. We can’t separate. We have to stay together.”
On his touchdown catch against Wisconsin
“Going through it, I just knew that the ball was in the air. I had to go up and get it. To be honest, I haven’t even watched it but one time after. I have to move on from that and focus on Minnesota.”
On Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s passing
“I see a great guy. He’s been doing a great job. He’s been doing a great job all year. Not so much as Tommy would be falling down but receivers have to make plays, too. Every ball is not going to be perfect. That’s why we play receiver, to go get the ball.”
On difficulty of not being able to cherish moments like on Saturday
“I cherished the moment as I made the play. After that, I just moved on from it because it’s behind me now. I can look back and say, ‘Oh I made this play.’ It’s still not going to change anything because we lost. I looked at it and cherished it and it’s on to Minnesota.”
On three Louisiana guys making plays on the drive
“I didn’t even know it went down like that. That’s pretty cool that three Louisiana guys caught the ball back to back.”
On keys to beating Minnesota
“I think they’re going to get up in our face. The key to beating that is having a plan before you get to the line, seeing where the DB is at, anticipate on him shooting his hand or if he’s going to play with his feet and everything. It’s about having to play them once you get to the line.”
On penalties
“We just have to stay focused. That’s all we have to do. Just stay focused.”
