Huskers Open October at Fossum Memorial

Benton Harbor, Mich. - The Nebraska men’s golf team travels to Benton Harbor, Mich., to compete in the Fossum Memorial at the Point O’ Woods Golf Club on Monday and Tuesday.

The Huskers open October at the Point O’ Woods Golf Club, a par-72, 7,093-yard layout, where they will compete against Cincinnati and host Michigan State. Monday will consist of two rounds with a 9 a.m. CT shotgun start. Tuesday’s final round will commence at the same time.

Representing the No. 1 spot in the lineup for NU is junior Mike Colgate. The Sarasota, Fla., native, finished first among the Huskers in last week’s Jackrabbit Invitational after firing a final round 73 to tie for 38th.

Jace Guthmiller will represent the No. 2 spot. Guthmiller fired a season-best 71 in the second round of the Jackrabbit last week.

The No. 3 spot will be represented by junior Justin Jennings. Jennings has competed in every tournament for NU up to this point and has a 75.50 stroke average over eight rounds.

Sean Song is set to tee off for the fourth time this season, having competed in every tournament in 2015-16. He has a 75.50 stroke average over 8 rounds and will be the No. 4 spot in Nebraska’s lineup

Joel Sneed will also travel to Michigan to represent NU in the No. 5 position. The freshman has a 75.20 stroke average over five rounds.
