Huskers Host Big Red Fall Classic

The Nebraska softball team hosts the Big Red Fall Classic this weekend at Bowlin Stadium. The tournament begins on Friday and features six 10-inning games in three days, with free admission for all games.

Nebraska will take on Omaha on Friday at 5 p.m. to open the tournament. On Saturday, the Huskers will face Colorado State at 10 a.m. and Omaha at 1:30 p.m. before the Rams and Mavericks wrap up the day with a 5 p.m. matchup. On Sunday, Colorado State and Omaha will meet again at 10 a.m., with the Huskers taking on the Rams at 1:30 p.m. to wrap up the weekend.

The Huskers are 3-0 through the first two weeks of their eight-game, fall exhibition schedule. Nebraska swept a two-game series from South Dakota by a combined score of 22-10 before defeating Belleuve, 16-0, last Sunday.

Following the Big Red Fall Classic this weekend, Nebraska will wrap up its fall schedule on Sunday, Oct. 11, against Creighton. First pitch for that matchup is set for 1 p.m. with free admission for the in-state matchup at Bowlin Stadium.
