Spinks Named B1G Co-Athlete of the Week

Nebraska junior Peter Spinks was named B1G Cross Country Co-Athlete of the Week on Wednesday, the conference office announced. 

Spinks led a large pack of Husker men with a personal-best time of 18:57.95 to finish first in the University Division and second overall at the Augustana Twilight four-mile race in Sioux Falls, S.D. last Friday. He guided the Huskers to the team title.

Spinks is the first Husker to earn weekly conference honors since Trevor Vidlak on Sept. 10, 2013. 

The Huskers are back in action at the Woody Greeno/Nebraska Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19 at Pioneers Park.
