Johnson Named to CS360 Weekly Honor Roll

Nebraska’s Erika Johnson earned a spot on CollegeSoccer360.com’s Primetime Performers Honor Roll for Week 6, announced on Wednesday. The accolade is Johnson’s second of the week after being named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

The sophomore goalkeeper posted a shutout against Ohio State on Sunday after tying No. 12 Penn State on Friday. Johnson, a North Oaks, Minn., native, allowed one goal against the Nittany Lions in 110 minutes, while collecting six saves. She earned seven saves against the Buckeyes en route to her fourth shutout of the season. Johnson leads the Big Ten with 5.10 saves per game.

She is the first Husker to be named to the honor roll since senior Jaylyn Odermann earned a spot in Week 1 on Aug. 26.

The Huskers return to action on Friday against Purdue in West Lafayette, Ind. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. (CT) and will be streamed on BTN Plus.
