“In my opinion, we’re all together no matter what. Win or lose, we are brothers. We play for each other. I think we’re ready to roll. We just can’t hang our heads on two losses. We still have eight more games. I think we’re together.”

On Southern Miss
“I don’t know too much about them. I just know we have to come out and play and treat them no different than any other team that we play. I do know their running back, Jalen Richard. He’s from about 30 minutes away from where I played high school ball. I know a little bit about him. I know him personally.”

On freshman wide receiver Stanley Morgan Jr.’s performance
“It shows me a lot. He’s a great guy. It makes me feel great to see a young guy like this step up to the plate when we need him. That’s the greatest feeling ever.”

On what was different about Tommy Armstrong Jr.’s leadership this week
“I see a lot. It’s a big difference. He led us great. I remember him telling me when we were down before I scored the touchdown, I remember him telling me we were going to come back and win the game. We went out and started making big plays. I was walking back to the sideline after we scored and I sitting there thinking then I looked at him and he just nodded like we are about to do this. We just took off from there. The leadership, we trust him.”
