Huskers Add Seven Appearances on ESPN Networks

Lincoln – The Nebraska basketball team will make seven appearances on the ESPN family of networks, as ESPN and CBS announced its Big Ten broadcast schedule Thursday.

The seven appearances on ESPN Networks feature a matchup with Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 23 from Pinnacle Bank Arena. That game will tip off at 1 p.m. and be televised on either ESPN or ESPN2. Other games included in today’s announcement include the Big Ten opener against Northwestern, which will be on ESPNU on Dec. 30 at 3 p.m., as well as both Big Ten matchups with Rutgers and Penn State. Nebraska’s Big Ten/ACC Challenge game against Miami on Dec. 1 had been previously picked by ESPN.

In addition to the ESPN family of networks, Nebraska’s game with Ohio State is under consideration for CBS on the weekend of Feb. 20-21. The game will either be on Saturday, Feb. 20 on BTN or Sunday, Feb. 21 on CBS with a final decision on TV and start time coming in early February.

Today’s release is on top of the minimum of 13 appearances on BTN announced earlier this week.  Television for the two games at the Barclays Classic have not been announced at press time, while every other remaining game will be televised or available online.
