Lincoln - Coach Mike Riley and the Huskers met the media for Nebraska's weekly football press conference at Memorial Stadium on Monday.
The Huskers hit the road for the first time this season when they head to Miami to face the Hurricanes on Saturday. Kick-off is set for 2:30 p.m. at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla., with a national telecast on ABC or ESPN2.
Nebraska is coming off a 48-9 win over South Alabama in Lincoln on Saturday, giving Riley his first victory as the Huskers' head coach. Junior running back Terrell Newby led the Big Red with a career-high 198 yards against the Jaguars, who advanced to a bowl game in 2014.
While the Huskers head to Miami at 1-1 on the young season with a last-second loss to BYU in the opener, the Hurricanes are 2-0 with a 45-0 win over Bethune-Cookman and a 44-20 victory at Florida Atlantic on Sept. 11.
Quarterback Brad Kaaya has thrown for 230 yards per game and completed 62.7 percent of his passes through the first two games, while Joe Yearby has led the Hurricane ground game with 93 yards per game on 7.8 yards per carry. Yearby is also averaging 52.5 yards per game receiving. Yearby is one of three Hurricane players averaging more than 50 yards receiving per game, including Rashawn Scott (61.0 ypg) and Herb Waters (56.0 ypg).
In the return game, Miami's Corn Elder is averaging 26.0 yards per return, including a 72-yard touchdown late in the first half in the season-opening win over Bethune-Cookman.
