Des Moines, Iowa - On the final day of action at the Drake Relays, the Husker men picked up a victory in the 440-meter shuttle hurdle relays. Andrew Neal, Sean Pille, Antoine Lloyd and Oladapo Akinmoladun ran a time of 56.28 to capture the title.
In field action, Nick Percy won the discus title by reaching 184-7 (56.27m) on his first attempt, the top collegiate mark in the event. Ellie Ewere also had the top collegiate triple jump with a leap of 42-2 (12.85m) on her last jump. Mollie Gribbin was fourth at 41-1 1/2 (12.53m). Paula Andrie was third in the pole vault, matching her PR of 13-9 1/4 (4.20m). Will Lohman took third in the shot put with a throw of 60-8 3/4 (18.51m).
Melissa-Maree Farrington, Kristen Dowell, Morgan Smith and Jordan Stiens finished third in the 400-meter shuttle hurdle relay with a school-record time of 54.86 after reaching the finals with the top prelim time.
The men's 4x400 relay - Levi Gipson, Drew Wiseman, Sean Pille, Jake Bender - ran a 3:06.92 to place third.
Desiree Sanders, Kari Heck, Morgan Woitzel and Shawnice Williams teamed up to run a 3:55.14 to finish seventh overall in the sprint medley relay. Their time was a heat winner.
Tristen Sharp was sixth in the hammer throw with a mark of 182-11 (55.76m). Grant Anderson tied for eighth in the high jump with a clearance of 6-9 3/4 (2.08m).
