Lincoln, Neb. - The No. 53 Nebraska women’s tennis team fell to Big Ten opponent and 29th-ranked, Purdue, today at the Nebraska Tennis Center. The Huskers maintain an 11-2 record on the season.

Purdue evened the battle with an 8-0 win at the No. 1 spot, as the Boilermaker’s 24th-ranked duo of Daniela Vidal and Tess Bernard-Feigenbaum served Izabella Zgierska and Mary Hanna’s first loss of the season.

As the point rested at the No. 3 spot, Mackenna Maddox and Katerina Matysova battled through the tie-breaker, but came up short to Krisztina Kapitany and Nicole Robinson, 8-7 (2), giving Purdue the 1-0 lead.

Singles action was highlighted by the three-set battle at the No. 5 spot.
