On what she likes about her match-up with Wisconsin
“I just come to play every game. I do think the match-up does has something to do with it.”
On the message to the team after losing three in a row
“We told ourselves we are not losing four. We drilled that in our head, we are not losing four and especially not on our home court. It started from our warm-up. Everybody was ready, the bench helped us out, and we were fired up. Everybody contributed to do their part so that definitely sparked us up.”
On big runs in the second half
“That really lit our fire. We just had to keep it up. They had their little run and we had ours, we just had to keep ours. We knew we had to take care of the ball which is another reason why we had that run.”
On the growth of freshman guard Natalie Romeo
“I have seen her grow a lot. She tries hard in practice and especially in games, she really works her (tail) off. Nat is just a hard worker. She’s not a loud person, but she will sure work her (tail) off.”
Natalie Romeo
5-7, Freshman, Guard, Martinez, Calif.
On dealing with Rachel Theriot's injury
“I try to work as hard as I can, and I definitely need to talk more and be louder. It is hard, but I am adjusting. Everybody is helping out; the bench will call out plays that Coach Yori is calling and it will transfer to the court and then I will just repeat them.”
