Huskers Second at Crusader Classic

The Nebraska women's bowling team wrapped up the first day of competition at the Crusader Classic in Valparaiso, Ind., Friday. NU found their groove on the lanes, going 5-1 in Baker format games recording a total pinfall of 6,012. The Huskers currently sit in second-place behind the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (6,095 pinfall).

NU opened competition Friday with a victory over rival Arkansas State University (1,035-901 pinfall) before getting narrowly edged out by Vanderbilt University (900-979).

The loss to the Commodores would be the Huskers last, as NU closed the day out winning four-straight matches. The Huskers beat first-place Wisconsin Whitewater 1,001-982, McKendree University 1,086-971, Monmouth 960-840 and Tulane 1,030-853.
