On playing in hometown
“It’s a pretty important game. It will be good to play in front of my friends and family. I’m looking forward to this weekend.”

On atmosphere in Evanston last year
“I remember seeing a lot of red. Our fans usually travel really well so I expect the same this Saturday.”

On advantage of the fans traveling
“It helps a lot. Seeing all the red in the stadium makes it feel like we are here (Nebraska) so it’s a good feeling.”

On silencing Northwestern last year
“I’ve never seen anything like that, but I hope the same happens this weekend.”

On Northwestern’s offense
“They don’t have a mobile quarterback in Kain Colter anymore so they pretty much have a guy that will sit back in the pocket and throw the ball. But they still have the same principle as an offense but they just don’t have a dual threat quarterback anymore.”

On continuing to meet goals in second half of the season
“That’s something the coaches preach to us about a lot. Going into the second half of the season, all of our goals we set in preseason are still out there for us if we go out there and take care of business each week. That’s something we put a big emphasis on and try to carry into practice each week. We can get to where we need to be at the end of the season.”

On responding to last week’s loss
“We will see this Saturday, but I think guys came to practice and practiced hard, but the test is this Saturday. So we will find out.”
